Important Notes:

  • The National Testing Day is six hours, this time is not only for testing but also allows participants the opportunity to network and share practical information.
  • The NTD does not include a review of the manual. It is the students responsibility to read, study and understand the contents of the manual.
  • The left pocket of your manual will contain an Open Book Test, Facility Visit Form, and a Plan For Water Test. All of these must be completed PRIOR to testing day and turned in before you can participate in NTD.
  • A current CPR certification is required for completion of this course. If you do not have one, you may take the course however we cannot complete your certification until we have a copy of your CPR card on file. Online CPR courses are not accepted.
  • The two most important parts of the NTD are the written test and the water test. The written test is two parts, which you will have one hour and fifteen minutes to complete. For the water test each student will teach a mini class; Primary course students teaching an 8 minute class and Master course students teaching a 15 minute class.
  • The Instructor Trainer will give you your written and water test scores at the end of the day. (Students taking the Primary course must score 80% or higher and Masters must score 90% or higher.)
  • If you register for a National Testing Day and do not attend, there will be a $50 switching fee to change to another NTD. This fee will not be charged if the course is postponed.
  • All participants who attend the National Testing Day must have purchased a manual. Sharing is prohibited!
  • You have one year from your original registration date to take the course on another date without paying again. There are NO REFUNDS!
